Each 5ml of NEW BETA GRIPE WATER contains: Aniseed oil (Foeniculum vulgare) 0.0008 ml, Dill oil (Peucedanum graveolens), 0.0007 ml, Peppermint oil (Mentha piperatta) 0.0003 ml & Flavored aqueous Base

Aniseed oil (Foeniculum vulgare) poses antifungal, diuretic, analgesic, antipyretic and antimicrobial properties .Essential oil has antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. The drug is very effective in flatulence in infants.

Dill oil (Peucedanum graveolens) showed appetite-stimulating property. The extracts proved a marked decrease in total gastric acid together with an increase in pH values. As the fruit of dill has an antispasmodic effect on the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract.

Peppermint oil (Mentha piperatta) is responsible for the drug’s carminative and potent spasmolytic activities, the latter mainly due to local smooth muscle relaxation. Peppermint tea increase the production of bile, the effect is due to essential oil but presumably the flavonoids also play a part.

Recommended dosage: Newborn infant: ½  a 5 ml spoonful; 1-6 months: One 5 ml spoonful;6 months to 2 years  Two 5ml spoonful;  2 years and over: Two-Three 5ml spoonful. During or after feeding: up to Eight times a day.
